The feta is bright and tangy and is a great balance with the creaminess of the egg. The touch of crushed red pepper flakes adds an incredible punch of flavor. The egg yolk runs over the whole thing when uyou bite into it. These Zesty Pesto Eggs and Toast will be one of your new favorite breakfasts

For this Zesty Pesto Eggs and Toast recipe you will need:
- A slice of bread.
- 1 to 2 tablespoons of pesto – Use more for a stronger pesto flavor and less to let the other flavors shine.
- An egg
- 1 tablespoon of crumbled feta cheese – The slight acidity of the feta brightens this breakfast up.
- Salt and pepper – a sprinkle of each.
- Crushed red chili flakes – Use a light sprinkle so that it add some zing without being overpowering or making the toast spicy.
How to Make Zesty Pesto Eggs and Toast:
Step 1. Add your egg to an oiled pan on medium heat and sprinkle with salt, pepper, 1 to 2 tablespoons of crumbles feta, and a sprinkle of crushed red chili flakes. Adding the toppings at the beginning allows them to slightly embed into the egg. This keeps them from falling off and also tastes amazing. Cover your pan and allow it to cook until the white is cooked through and the yolk is still runny.
Step 2. Toast your bread and add a layer of pesto. Around 1 to 2 tablespoons usually does the trick.
Step 3. Once your egg is cooked, add it to your pesto tast and your are ready to dig in!
