Cinnamon Sugar Caramel Apple Latte

Fall is in the air and there is nothing I am craving more than a hot, fall flavored coffee. This Cinnamon Sugar Caramel Apple Latte is delicious and wraps up fall in such a festive way. It also pairs as a fun activity! It’s giving pumpkin carving meets caramel apples.

If you don’t have a way to make espresso, that is absolutely ok! Some drip coffee and creamer will taste amazing too! For a kid-friendly version you can even go with hot milk.The juice from the apple actually seeps into the drink and the flavors of cinnamon sugar and caramel mix together with it to really give that fall feel!

Ingredients You’ll Need:

Servings: 1 latte

For this Cinnamon Sugar Caramel Apple Latte recipe you will need:

  • 1 large apple – It needs to be large as it will be acting as a mug.
  • Cinnamon
  • Sugar
  • Caramel
  • 1 espresso shot
  • Milk
  • See substitutions below if you don’t have espresso or want a kid friendly version!

How to Make a Cinnamon Sugar Caramel Apple Latte:

Step 1. Start by washing you apple and then cut off the top of it.

Step 2. Use a small knife to cut a circle into the top of the apples. Leave around a quarter of an edge. Then use a small spoon to carve out the inside of your apples. Carve out a lot, but leave a bit of apple around to make a sturdy “mug”. Be careful not to carve too close to the bottom or the drink will probably leak out.

Step 3. Combine some cinnamon and sugar onto a plate place your carved out apple upside down on it to make a cinnamon sugar rim. Sprinkle some cinnamon sugar on the inside as well.

Step 4. Add some caramel syrup to the bottom of the apple.

Step 5. Make your shot of espresso directly into the apple mug, and then add your heated milk. Top with cinnamon!

Substitutions:

– Don’t have espresso? No problem! You can put any type of hot coffee in this drink, including drip coffee with cream, and get a delicious result!

– For a kid friendly version, swap out the coffee for some hot milk. The cinnamon sugar, caramel, and juice from the apple will still make this a yummy fall drink!

Pro Tips:

Do not carve too deep into the bottom of the apple or the latte might seep through it.
