Nutter Butter Babies

These Nutter Butter Babies are one of the cutest, easiest, and yummiest treats that you can bring to a baby shower! They are so fun and quick to make, and everyone will be impressed with this homemade treat. The white chocolate truly elevates the nutter butters and they are surprisingly super delicious! I make these for any and every baby shower. You just can't go wrong!

Ingredients

  • 1 16 oz pack of Nutter Butter Cookies - 32 cookies total
  • 1 12 oz bag of white chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
  • Food coloring
  • Black icing

Instructions

  • Start by melting the 12 ounces of white chocolate along with the 1 tablespoon of coconut oil in a double boiler. If you do not have a double boiler, see the Pro Tips section below on how to make one with pots and pans.
  • Stir the chocolate, and once it is mostly melted, turn the heat off entirely and stir until fully melted. This method will keep the chocolate smooth as it will not be over heated. Now you can add the food coloring of your choice until it is at your desired color.
  • Line a tray with parchment paper and begin dipping your nutter butters. Grab the top of the cookie, dip, and angle the top in the melted chocolate on each side to make the appearance of a blanket swaddle. Set the cookie on the parchment paper to cool. Repeat for each cookie.
  • Once all of the cookies are chocolate coated, lightly dip the edge of a spatula in the chocolate, and use it to make diagonal line on each cookie to give the appearance of the edge of the blanket.
  • Use your black with a thin tip to create a swirl at the top of each cookie and 2 eyes.
  • Allow your cookies to sit for at least 1 hour, or over night to fully cool.
    Enjoy!

Notes

How to make a double boiler: Use a larger pot for the bottom boiler, and a smaller pot or heat safe glass for the top boiler. Make sure the top boiler is small enough to fit in the bottom boiler, but large enough to be suspended at least 2 inches from the bottom of it. Add 2 inches of water to the bottom boiler/pot, bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and add the top boiler/pot along with the chocolate chips and tablespoon coconut oil.
